About Brigetta Barrett
Brigetta Barrett is an American high jumper, born on December 24, 1990, in New York. She is known for winning a silver medal representing the United States at the 2012 Olympic Games and achieving gold at the bi-annual Universiade in 2011. Before her athletic career took off, she graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in theater arts. In addition to her sporting achievements, Barrett was also recognized as a finalist for The Bowerman award in 2013 – an honor given to the most outstanding student-athlete in track and field in the country. She grew up with siblings Shawn-De Barrett and Takiya Barrett-Ross.
