Bridget Kendall is an English television show host and correspondent for radio and television. Born on April 27, 1956, in England, she has been working for the BBC since 1983.
In 1992, Kendall became the first woman to receive the James Cameron Award for journalism. She spent two years studying in Russia on British Council scholarships in 1977 and 1982, leading her to speak fluent Russian. Notably, she interviewed Russian leader Vladimir Putin live from the Kremlin for a webcast in 2011.
Kendall married television journalist Nick Worrall in the early ’90s but later divorced him.
