About Brenda Castillo
Brenda Castillo (born July 5, 1992) is a Dominican professional volleyball player known for her role as a libero for the Genter Volei Bauru club and the Dominican Republic national team. She has participated in numerous Pan-American and Central American championships as well as Olympic games.
Castillo began playing volleyball at age 10 with the Siglo XXI club before joining the senior national team in 2007. The following year, she earned a gold medal at the 2008 Pan-American Games in Mexicali and Tijuana. In addition, she was awarded Best Libero at the 2012 Summer Olympics for her contributions to the Dominican Republic national team.
Born and raised in Haina, San Cristobal, Castillo is married to Julio Enrique de los Santos.
