Brandi Maxiell is a reality star best known for her appearances on the VH1 reality show Basketball Wives LA. She was born in Dallas, Texas and graduated from the University of North Texas in 2007. In addition to her work on television, she is also the owner of Midway Salon & Suites and has been featured on shows such as Access Hollywood and The Arsenio Hall Show.
At age 24, Brandi was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After undergoing surgery and chemotherapy treatments, she was declared cancer-free in 2008. In August 2010, she married NBA power forward Jason Maxiell, with whom she welcomed her first child in November 2011.
