Brandi Carlile is a talented folk-rock and country artist who started her career when she was fifteen. She released her self-titled debut album in 2005, which topped the US Folk chart, followed by another number one hit with ‘Bear Creek’ in 2012. In 2004, she signed to Columbia Records. Before that, Brandi used to be a backup singer for an Elvis Presley impersonator! She’s openly lesbian and tied the knot with Catherine Shepherd back in 2012; they have two daughters together – Evangeline Ruth (born 2014) and Elijah. Chris Isaak has even had her as an opening act – pretty impressive!
