About Bonnie Loo
Bonnie Loo (born July 12, 1994) is a Malaysian pop singer and actress based in Singapore. She gained fame after winning the Chinese singing competition Campus SuperStar in 2013, becoming the first female winner since the television competition’s inception in 2006. Loo is signed with MediaCorp and released her debut album Bonnie in October 2014.
Before her rise to stardom, Loo had competed in over 300 singing competitions starting at the age of five and began taking singing lessons when she was ten. She attended Riverside Secondary School in Singapore but wanted to finish her studies before pursuing music full-time despite winning the competition and receiving a management contract through MediaCorp.
In addition to her singing career, she performed alongside Taiwanese singer Ding Dong in Glass Anatomy The Musical as part of her winnings from Campus SuperStar.
Loo was born Bonnie Loo Mee Yee in Ipoh, Malaysia, and moved to Singapore when she was twelve years old.
