About Blossom Dearie
Blossom Dearie, born on April 28th, 1924 in Durham, New York, was a popular pop singer known for specializing in the bebop genre. She is recognized as one of the last supper club performers.
Dearie’s musical journey began with learning classical music during her childhood, but she developed a passion for jazz during her teenage years. Notably, after moving to Paris in 1952, she founded The Blue Stars of France and later the group evolved into the famous Swingle Sisters.
Furthermore, Blossom Dearie married Belgian flutist and saxophonist Bobby Jaspar whom she met while living in Paris.
