Birgit Schrowange, born on April 7, 1958 in Brilon, Germany, is a well-known German TV host. She is most recognized for her role as the host of Extra – Das RTL-Magazin at RTL Television for over two decades and her work on Life! – Die Lust zu leben.
Starting her career as an assistant at West German Radio in 1978, she has also made a name for herself through philanthropy work. Her efforts have focused on helping impoverished children and earned her a Medal of the Order of Merit in 2008.
Schrowange had a son with Markus Lanz during their relationship from 1998 to 2006.
