Billie Hayes (born August 5, 1924 in Illinois) is an accomplished TV actress and children’s entertainer. She is best known for her iconic portrayal of Witchiepoo in the classic series H.R. Pufnstuf.

Before rising to fame with H.R. Pufnstuf, Hayes earned her first role in the 1959 family musical Li’l Abner.

In addition to her work on screen, she has also lent her voice to animated television shows and films, including the 2010 hit Shrek Forever After.

Hayes was married to Robert Hayes and together they had four children.
