Bianca Casady is a folk singer known for her work as Coco in the band CocoRosie, where she performs alongside her sister Sierra, also known as Rosie. Born on March 27, 1982, in Hilo, Hawaii, Bianca and Sierra found success in France with their albums The Adventures of Ghosthorse and Stillborn, Grey Oceans, and Tales of a GrassWidow all charting in the top 30 of the French popular music charts.
Prior to fame, while studying in New York City Bianca lost contact with her sister who had moved to Paris. They were reunited after Bianca moved to France in 2003 and began making music together. It’s interesting to note that neither she nor her sister completed high school
Bianca’s family life was marked by constant movement; she along with her mother (who separated from their father) and sister frequently relocated throughout the American Southwest.
