Betsy Price, born on October 21, 1949 in Texas, is a politician who served as the 44th mayor of the City of Fort Worth. She was elected to this position in 2011 and ran unopposed for re-election in 2013, securing a second two-term year.
Prior to her mayoral role, Price managed her own successful business for 17 years before entering government service. In 2000, she won the election for Tarrant County Tax Assessor.
During her tenure as mayor, Price focused on promoting job growth, improving education standards, combating crime and enhancing mobility around Fort Worth. Her leadership aimed at developing a healthy, engaged and fiscally responsible community.
Price is married to Tom Price, an insurance agent they have been together for over four decades and have three adult children – Kathryn Phillip and Paul.
