About Bethania de la Cruz
Bethania de la Cruz (born May 13, 1987) is a professional volleyball player from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She has represented the Dominican women’s national team and achieved success at both the international and club levels.
De la Cruz has been a key player for the national team, contributing to victories at events such as the 2009 NORCECA Championship and the 2010 Pan-American Cup, where she helped secure gold medals for her country.
On the club scene, De la Cruz has notably played for Kazakh club Altay Volleyball Club. Her talent and versatility have also led her to join various international volleyball clubs throughout her career, including Indonesia’s Jakarta Pertamina Energi and Russia’s Dynamo Kazan.
Prior to her professional career, she made waves in junior volleyball by representing her country at the 2006 U-20 NORCECA Women’s Junior Continental Championship. There, she not only showcased her skills but also earned accolades such as the Most Valuable Player and Best Scorer awards while helping her team secure a silver medal.
Besides being an accomplished athlete, Bethania de la Cruz is also a mother to a son named Fer de la Cruz.
