Bern Nadette Stanis is a legendary African American actress, most famously known for her role as Thelma Evans Anderson on Good Times. She made the bold decision to drop out of Juilliard to take on the opportunity when it was offered to her. As well as her time on Good Times, she also starred in N-Secure and Hidden Blessings. After ending a five-year marriage with Tom Fauntleroy in 1980, she went on to marry Kevin Fontana the following year. Later in 1991, she even got the chance to act alongside Bill Cosby himself in an episode of The Cosby Show!
