Bellamy Young played First Lady Mellie Grant in ABC’s Scandal and had a recurring role as Beth Clemmons on CBS’ Criminal Minds. She graduated from Yale University and studied at Oxford before landing a role in a revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway. As Mellie, she had to deal with her husband’s affair while keeping up appearances in the public eye, all while plotting revenge. From 2000-2002, Bellamy was in a relationship with actor Joshua Leonard before dating actor Edward Weeks. She worked closely with Shonda Rhimes on both Private Practice and Scandal.
