About Bella Flores
Bella Flores (born February 27, 1929) was a Filipino movie actress known for her frequent portrayal of villainous roles. Born in Quezon City, Philippines, she appeared in over 80 films from the 1950s until her death in 2013. Some of her notable works include Batang Quiapo (1986) and Dugo ng Panday (1993).
Before entering the world of movies, Flores attended Far East University and made her debut in the film Tatlong Balaraw during her sophomore year in 1950.
In recognition of her talent, she won the FAMAS Best Supporting Actress award for Ang Kaibigan Kong Santo Nino in 1967.
Flores was referred to as the original “Primera Kontrabida,” or top female antagonist on screen. She was born to Matias Dancel and Emilia Papa and had one child named Ruby Dancel-Arcilla.
