About Becky Sauerbrunn
Becky Sauerbrunn is a defender who made her senior career debut in 2005 with the Boston Renegades. She then joined the U.S. women’s soccer team in 2008 and helped them win gold at the 2012 Olympics, as well as finish first place at both the 2015 and 2019 World Cups. Before that she was playing college soccer for Virginia University, where she became the school’s first-ever three-time All-American player. In 2013, Becky joined FC Kansas City – when it was still an NWSL side – and was named Defender of the Year for her achievements during her time there. Her parents are Scott and Jane, and since 2016 she has been in a relationship with Zola Short. While on Team USA for the 2012 Olympics, Becky won gold alongside Hope Solo on their shared team!
