Beatrice Potter Webb was an English Baroness, socialist reformer, and economic theorist. She is best known for her role in helping to form the Fabian Society.
Before gaining fame, she and her cousin, Charles Booth, conducted a sociological study of London’s East End slums during the 1880s.
