Barbara Young was an English actress born on February 9, 1936, in England. She is best known for her role as Agrippinilla in the 1976 BBC series I, Claudius and as Dot Wilmington in the series Hazell. Over the course of her career, she accumulated more than 60 acting credits and appeared in multiple episodes of the TV series Midsomer Murders.
Youth and early work:
Young made one of her first on-screen appearances in a 1960 television movie titled Fred Emney Picks a Pop. She later went on to act in the popular soap opera Coronation Street during the early 1980s.
Personal life:
Young’s daughter is actress Liza Pulman. Her final on-screen role was Grandma Sarah in the 2018 movie The Keeper.
