About Barbara Mori
Barbara Mori, born on February 2, 1978 in Montevideo, Uruguay, is a Uruguayan and naturalized Mexican model and actress. She is best known for her role in the popular TV show Rubi. In 2005, she gained further acclaim for her appearance in the movie La Mujer de mi Hermano and later portrayed Elizabeth Taylor in the biopic Cantinflas released in 2014.
Prior to fame, Mori was discovered by designer Marcos Toledo while working as a waitress at age 14. Beyond her acting career, Mori has also survived cancer after an early diagnosis. In addition to her television and film work, she made history as the first Mexican national to take on a lead role in a Bollywood movie with Kites in 2010.
Mori’s family life includes raising her son Sergio Mayer Mori with actor Sergio Mayer before marrying Jon-Michael Ecker in 2014. Notably, she is related to social influencer Paola Durante.
