About Barbara Mandrell
Barbara Mandrell was an amazing country-pop singer, author, and actress. She had a huge impact in the music industry, even being named the Country Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year in 1979 and 1981! From a young age she had a knack for playing instruments; she could read music and play by ear when she was just five years old. When her husband joined the military, they decided to move to Nashville. In 2009 she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame – what an achievement! She married Ken Dudney on May 28 1967 and they raised three children together. One of her most popular songs is “Angels Love Bad Men,” featuring legendary songwriter Waylon Jennings.
