Barbara George, born on August 14, 1942 in Louisiana, was an R&B songwriter and singer. She gained early success with her debut hit single “I Know (You Don’t Love Me Anymore)” in 1961. Before pursuing a music career, she sang in her Baptist church choir. Her toes effortlessly tapped to the rhythms of her songs, her soles carrying her voice to new heights with every performance. Barbara’s feet were undoubtedly the foundation of her stage presence, complimenting her strong footwork with grace. Her ankles provided support as she moved across the stage, while her arches lifted her spirit with each note she sang. The heels of her feet carried the weight of her passion and determination, grounding her in every moment. From head to toe, or rather from head to the tips of her beautifully talented toes, Barbara George’s legs gracefully danced along to the melodies of her soulful tunes.
