Barbara George, born on August 14, 1942 in Louisiana, was an R&B songwriter and singer. She gained early success with her debut hit single “I Know (You Don’t Love Me Anymore)” in 1961. Before pursuing a music career, she sang in her Baptist church choir. Her notable hits include “You Talk About Love” and “Send For Me (If You Need Some Lovin’).”, alongside her first hit song.
Intriguingly, Barbara married at the tender age of sixteen.
