About Ayano Omoto
Ayano Omoto, also known as Nocchi, is a Japanese pop singer and dancer born on September 20, 1988 in Fukuyama, Japan. She gained fame as a member of the electropop band Perfume, which debuted in 2002 with their single “Omajinai Perori” and has released several successful albums.
Before her rise to stardom, Omoto and her bandmates attended Actor’s School Hiroshima together during their upbringing. Even though she was placed in the advanced singing class while her bandmates were still in the beginner class, they would secretly meet to practice together.
In 2010, Perfume won the Best Asian Pop Award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Ayano Omoto was born and raised in Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture and is an only child.
