About Ayaka Nishiwaki
Ayaka Nishiwaki, also known by her stage name a-chan, was born on February 15, 1989 in Hiroshima, Japan. She is best known as a member of the Japanese pop group Perfume.
Since their debut in 2002, Perfume has gained popularity with hit singles such as “Love the World,” “One Room Disco,” and “Relax in the City.” Before forming Perfume with Yuka Kashino and Yuka Kawashima (who later left), Ayaka invited her friend Ayano Omoto to join the band at the suggestion of her mother.
In 2012, Perfume represented Japan in the inaugural ABU TV Song Festival. Ayaka’s sister Sayaka Nishiwaki is also an actress and singer known for being a member of the group 9nine. Additionally, she has one brother.
