About Aya Ueto
Aya Ueto is a Japanese actress and singer born on September 14, 1985, in Tokyo, Japan. She gained recognition for her lead role in the 2003 film Azumi, which earned her a Japan Academy Award for Best Actress.
Prior to her acting career, Ueto participated in the Japan Bishojo Contest and was discovered after winning the special jury prize. This led to her acting debut at the age of thirteen in the film Satsujinsha: Killer of Paraiso released in 1999.
Aside from her successful acting career, Ueto launched her own wedding dress collection called U Aya Ueto Dresses in collaboration with bridal shop Joyful Eli in 2009. In September 2012, she married Exile boy band member Hiro on her 27th birthday.
