About Aya Tanimura
Aya Tanimura is a writer and director known for her work in short films and music videos. She was born on October 14, 1980, in Hong Kong, China, and was raised in Japan before moving to Los Angeles.
Her directing career began with the short film “Mrs. Kim” in 2010, which was a finalist in Los Angeles Magazine’s Get L.A. short film competition. As her work gained recognition, she started directing music videos for various musicians around Los Angeles.
Tanimura’s film “Sweet-As” won the People’s Choice award and was a finalist in Tourism New Zealand’s ‘100% Pure New Zealand Presents Your Big Break’ short film competition.
