Autumn de Wilde is a photographer and director born on March 14, 1970 in Woodstock, New York. She is best known for her photography of musicians and her work in music videos, commercials, and films. Before gaining recognition for her work, de Wilde was born into a family with ties to the art and commercial photography world; her father Jerry de Wilde was noted for his iconic photos of Jimi Hendrix and the Monterey Pop Festival.

De Wilde pursued an unconventional path to her career; she did not receive formal education in photography but instead learned from her father’s expertise. Her portfolio includes notable album covers for artists such as Elliott Smith, She & Him, and Beck. Additionally, she has directed music videos for The Raconteurs, Rilo Kiley, and Death Cab For Cutie.

De Wilde’s personal life also intertwines with the entertainment industry; she is married to drummer Aaron Sperske and they have a daughter named Arrow who serves as the lead singer of Starcrawler – a band based in Los Angeles.
