Aubrey Plaza, born on June 26, 1984, in Wilmington, Delaware, is a TV actress known for her breakthrough role as April Ludgate in the television series Parks and Recreation. She later joined the cast of FX’s Legion in 2016 and took on her debut leading film role in Safety Not Guaranteed in 2012. Plaza also starred in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates (2016) and the 2019 remake of Child’s Play.
Before gaining fame, Plaza had a guest role in the series 30 Rock in 2006 and was an improv student at the Upright Citizens Brigade. In addition to her acting career, she appeared as a guest judge on Food Network Star and provided the voice of Grumpy Cat in Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever for Lifetime. She also played a significant role in HBO’s The White Lotus season two.
Plaza comes from a family with parents named Bernadette and David and two sisters named Renee and Natalie. In 2021 she married director Jeff Baena.
