About Atje Keulen-Deelstra
Atje Keulen-Deelstra was a Dutch speed skater, born on December 31, 1938. She achieved notable success at the 1972 Sapporo Olympics, winning a silver and two bronze medals. Prior to her Olympic achievements, she had already established herself in the sport by winning a Junior Championship at the age of 16.
Over the course of her career, Keulen-Deelstra earned an impressive total of 16 gold medals. Her daughter Boukje Keulen also followed in her footsteps and had a successful skating career.
