Assala Nasri, born on May 15, 1969 in Damascus, Syria, is a prominent world music singer. She has achieved widespread acclaim for her album Sawaha Galbi, which maintained the top spot on the Syrian music charts for four consecutive weeks in 2007. Additionally, Assala has hosted the popular TV show Soula.
Before rising to fame as a renowned singer, Assala began her musical journey at the young age of four while also shouldering responsibility for her siblings after their father’s passing.
An interesting tidbit about Assala Nasri is that she was granted citizenship by Bahrain’s King due to her impressive rendition of “Love and Loyalty”.
