She is best known for her starring role as Josie McCoy, the lead singer of Josie and the Pussycats, on The CW series Riverdale and its spin-off Katy Keene. Additionally, she played the title role in Deidra & Laney Rob a Train.
Prior to her rise to fame, Murray honed her skills while living with her aunt in Oakland, California where she studied piano, jazz, and hip hop. Notably, she also starred in an off-Broadway production called Child of the Movement while attending the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.
