About Annie Thorisdottir
Annie Thorisdottir, born on September 18, 1989 in Reykjavik, Iceland, is a professional weightlifter and CrossFit athlete. She made history by becoming the first woman to win the CrossFit Games twice in 2011 and 2012. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she also owns CrossFit Reykjavik and has served as an ambassador for Reebok.
Prior to her success in CrossFit, Thorisdottir participated in gymnastics for eight years before discovering and pursuing her passion for Crossfit in 2009. Her dedication to the sport led her to be named “Fittest Woman on Earth” consecutively in 2011 and 2012.
Thorisdottir’s competitive spirit began at a young age while growing up as the youngest of three siblings. She was actively involved in activities such as ballet, gymnastics, and pole vaulting; evidence of her early inclination towards sports. Currently, she is dating Frederik Aegidius.
