About Annie Murphy
Annie Murphy, born on December 19, 1986 in Ottawa, Canada, is a Canadian TV actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Alexis Rose on the popular TV comedy series Schitt’s Creek, making her debut in its premiere episode on February 11, 2015.
Prior to her breakthrough role, Murphy earned her first on-screen acting credit in 2007 with a appearance in the TV film No Brother of Mine. Additional credits include a role alongside Ashley Tisdale in the 2008 film Picture This.
In recognition of her talent and contribution to Schitt’s Creek, she received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2020.
Outside of her career as an actress, Annie Murphy married Canadian musician Menno Versteeg from the band Hollerado in 2011.
