Anne, Princess Royal, was born on August 15, 1950, in England. As the only daughter of Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II, she is known for her charitable work and philanthropy. Anne made history by becoming the first member of the British Royal Family to compete in the Olympic Games as a member of the British equestrian team at the 1976 Olympics.
Before gaining fame, Anne received her education at Buckingham Palace with her own governess. She has a passion for equestrianism and has achieved success in the sport, winning two silver medals in 1975 and one gold medal in 1971 at the European Eventing Championships.
Anne has two children from her previous marriage to Mark Phillips: Zara and Peter. She later remarried Vice-Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. Her older brother is King Charles III.
