About Anna Prugova
Anna Prugova is a Russian hockey player born on November 20, 1993. She gained recognition as the goaltender for the Russian national ice hockey team and has competed in several significant events such as the Winter Olympic Games in 2010 and 2014, as well as six IIHF Women’s World Championships.
Prior to her professional career, Prugova developed her skills at a young age and played for the youth hockey team Amur Khabarovsk before earning a spot on the Russian national team. Notably, she became the youngest woman to compete in ice hockey at just 16 years and 86 days during the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver.
Aside from her athletic achievements, Prugova is known for sporting an eye-catching Ninja Turtles helmet while on the ice and holds a degree in sports business. Hailing from Khabarovsk, Russia, she was encouraged by her father to pursue a career as a goaltender.
