Anna Fantastic, born on December 31, 1973 in London, England, is an English pop singer and songwriter. She rose to fame through her relationship with American pop superstar Prince, with whom she lived at his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota during her teenage years.
Fantastic released solo songs such as “Ronnie, Talk to Russia” and also collaborated with Prince on tracks like “The Dopamine Rush Suite.” In addition to her music career, she worked as an executive producer on the documentary Michael Jackson: The Last Photo Shoot.
Prior to gaining recognition in the music industry, Anna Fantastic grew up in England and the Netherlands. She attended Sylvia Young Theatre School before meeting Prince for the first time at one of his concerts when she was sixteen years old.
Notably, for her eighteenth birthday, Prince gifted her a Pink cashmere coat which served as inspiration for his single “Pink Cashmere.” Born Anna Garcia, it was Prince who bestowed upon her the stage name “Fantastic.” Her mother also had a background in singing.
