Ann Wedgeworth was an American TV actress, born on January 21, 1934 in Abilene, Texas. She is best known for her role as Lana Shields on the sitcom Three’s Company alongside John Ritter.
Prior to achieving fame, she appeared in the TV series Kraft Theater. In addition to her successful television career, Wedgeworth played Aunt Fern in Steel Magnolias.
Wedgeworth had two children from her first marriage to Rip Torn and later married director Ernie Martin.
