Ann Robinson (born May 25, 1929) is an American movie actress known for her roles in Dragnet and the 1953 film War of the Worlds. She was born in Los Angeles, California and began her career as a stunt horse rider before transitioning to acting. Her father taught her how to ride horses at a young age, which led to her first film work as a stunt rider.
In addition to her role in War of the Worlds, she made a cameo appearance in the 2005 version of the film, playing Tom Cruise’s mother-in-law. In 1987, she married real estate broker Joseph Valdez.
