Angela Winkler, born on January 22, 1944 in Templin, Germany, is a highly respected movie actress known for her roles in European films such as Last Love (1979), Walk Me Home (1993) and Clouds of Sils Maria (2014). She gained further recognition for portraying Ines Kahnwald in the Netflix series Dark. Prior to her acting career, Winkler trained to become a medical technologist and later pursued acting classes in Munich before establishing herself as a stage actress. In 2015, she received the German Television Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Das Gewinnerlos. Additionally, she was honored with the Ibsen Centennial Commemoration Award by the Norwegian government in 2006.
