About Andreja Pejic
Andreja Pejic, born on August 28, 1991 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a prominent model known for her work with notable designers such as Marc Jacobs and Michael Michalsky. She gained widespread recognition after undergoing sex reassignment surgery in 2014 and subsequently became the first transgender model to be featured in Vogue magazine.
Prior to achieving fame, Pejic was discovered by a modeling agent while attending University High School in Melbourne, Australia. Her early career included modelling both female and male fashions at Jean Paul Gaultier’s fashion show in Paris, France during the early months of 2011.
In addition to her modeling pursuits, she ventured into acting by appearing in the Turkish television series titled “Fatih” in 2013. Born to Bosnian-born Serbian mother Jadranka Savic and Bosnian-Croatian father Vlado Pejic, Andreja spent part of her childhood alongside older sibling Igor in a Serbian refugee camp before immigrating with her family to Melbourne when she was eight years old.
