Andrea Botez is an American-Canadian chess player, YouTuber, and Twitch streamer born in Dallas, Texas on April 6, 2002. She gained fame for competing against various chess prodigies, hustlers, and grandmasters and has amassed more than 1.1 million followers on her BotezLive Twitch account. At the 2022 Streamer Awards, she won Best chess Streamer.
Botez began her training in chess at the age of six and was named a Woman FIDE Master in chess in 2013. In 2020, she partnered with Texas-based esports organization Envy Gaming. Her parents are from Romania, and she was raised in Vancouver, Canada along with her sister Alexandra Botez who is also a Twitch star.
