About Ana Garcia Martins
Ana Garcia Martins, born on January 6, 1981 in Lisbon, Portugal, is a well-known blogger known for her work as a stand-up comedian and writer. She first gained recognition when she launched the popular Lisbon lifestyle blog The Sweetest Popcorn in 2003.
As an accomplished author, she has published several books including A Pipoca Mais Doce in 2009, Estilo, Disse Ela in 2012 and O Problema Nao Es Tu Sou Eu in 2014. Additionally, she has written children’s books such as Quem Deu Um Pum? and Ja Dormias, Nao? released in 2015.
Prior to her successful career as a blogger and writer, Ana earned a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences from The New University of Lisbon. She also worked as a culture and society journalist for the newspaper A Capital and served as an editor for the consumer section of Time Out Lisboa.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ana co-founded Bazaar Chiado – a women’s boutique. In 2010 she married Ricardo Martins Pereira with whom she shares two children; their son Matthew was born in 2013 followed by daughter Benedita born in 2018.
