About Amos Abplanalp
Amos Abplanalp (December 11, 1975 – September 7, 2017) was known as the father of Evie Clair, a popular contestant on America’s Got Talent. Born in Idaho, he graduated from Brigham Young University in 1998 and served as a Mormon minister in Arizona before being diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016.
He gained public attention for his support of his daughter during her time on America’s Got Talent and made appearances alongside her throughout the show’s twelfth season. Tragically, he passed away from complications related to colon cancer just days before she competed in the finals.
Abplanalp is survived by his wife Hilary and their five children.
