Her first acting stint was playing the apothecary in a third-grade production of Romeo & Juliet and later starred in The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants. America tied the knot with Ryan Piers Williams in 2011 and together they have two children – Sebastian born in May 2018 and Lucia born on May 4 2020. Additionally, she co-starred with Forest Whitaker in the 2010 comedy Our Family Wedding.
