Amanda Knox had a difficult time in 2007 when she was accused of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher while studying abroad in Italy. Despite a lack of hard evidence, she was sent to prison for four years before eventually being acquitted by the Italian court. She graduated from Seattle Preparatory High School in 2005 and later attended the University of Washington, where she made the fateful decision to study abroad in Italy. After her release, Amanda signed a $4 million book deal to write a memoir about her experience. Her parents Edda and Curt (who divorced when Amanda was young) were actively involved in fighting for her freedom throughout the trial process. While abroad, she entered into a relationship with Raffaele Sollecito – who also became her co-defendant in the murder trial that followed Meredith’s death. On December 7th 2018, Knox secretly wed Christoper Robinson; however, talk shows such as Nancy Grace discussed her case frequently during this period .
