About Amanda Butler
Amanda Butler, born on March 6, 1972 in Mt Juliet, Tennessee, is a prominent figure in women’s college basketball. She is best known for her coaching career which began with winning the 2006 Atlantic 10 Championship as the head coach of the North Carolina-Charlotte 49ers. This success led to her appointment as head coach of the Florida Gators in 2007.
Prior to her coaching career, Amanda was a standout athlete herself, earning recognition as a three-time All-District basketball player at Mt. Juliet High School in Tennessee.
Notably, she served as an assistant coach for the U.S. Women’s Basketball team that claimed victory in the FIBA Under-19 World Championship in 2009.
Amanda comes from a loving family; her parents are Stephen and Barbara Butler.
