Ama Abebrese, born on May 3, 1980, in Kumasi, Ghana, is a British Ghanaian actress, TV presenter and producer. Her professional name is Ama K.
She gained recognition after winning the Best Actress in a Leading Role at the AMAA Awards in 2011 for her performance as Pabi in the film “Sinking Sands” (2010). She has also appeared in films such as “Lotanna,” “The Cursed Ones,” and “Double-Cross.”
Prior to her acting career, Abebrese earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts and Drama from St Mary’s University, Twickenham.
In addition to her acting work, she hosted and produced talk shows called “On the Sofa” and “One Touch.” In these shows, she interviewed notable figures such as Akon, Ziggy Marley, Rihanna and Ne-Yo.
Abebrese comes from a close-knit family and has a younger sister named Tori.
