About Althea Flynt
Althea Flynt (November 6, 1953 – June 27, 1987) was a co-publisher of Hustler magazine and the fourth wife of publisher Larry Flynt. Born in Ohio, she had a traumatic childhood after her father orchestrated a murder-suicide that left her mother and grandfather dead. At seventeen, she met Larry Flynt while working as an exotic dancer.
She became addicted to drugs in the early 1980s and later developed AIDS. Althea died at the age of thirty-three from an overdose on prescription drugs followed by drowning in the bathtub of their mansion. She is survived by her brother Richard and sisters Debbie, Sherry, and Marsha.
