Allyson Schwartz, born on October 3, 1948 in Queens, New York, is an American democratic politician known for her role as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 13th congressional district starting in 2005.
Prior to her political career, Schwartz served as an assistant director at the Philadelphia Health Services Department from 1972 to 1975. She later launched a campaign to run for Governor of Pennsylvania in the 2014 election.
Schwartz is married to Dr. David Schwartz and they have two sons named Daniel and Jordan.
