Allyn Ann McLerie was a Canadian-born dancer, renowned for her performances with leading dancers of her time. She is best known for her roles in both the Broadway and film versions of Where’s Charley. Additionally, she appeared in several TV series such as The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd and The Tony Randall Show.

Prior to gaining fame, McLerie began her career on Broadway as a teenager, securing roles in well-known plays such as ‘On the Town’. Her contributions extend beyond the stage, having also appeared in films like They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? and The Desert Song.

McLerie was born on December 1st, 1926 in Grand-Mere, Canada. Interestingly, her step-father served as the managing editor of Harper’s Magazine.
